Traveled to a new city
On May 1, I left for a month-long road trip. I'll be documenting my trip on Polywork!
Stop: Amarillo, TX
We only had one night in Amarillo and we arrived around 9 PM, so we got some food from a local fast casual joint and went to sleep. Not an exciting evening, but not every road trip day will be thrilling :) The next morning we grabbed some coffee (surprise, another cool coffee shop!) and hit the road again.

Traveled to a new city
On May 1, I left for a month-long road trip. I'll be documenting my trip on Polywork!
Stop: Oklahoma City, OK
We popped into Oklahoma City on our way to Texas to get some lunch and a drink. This was officially our first day off work where we weren't still inside our house, so we had to celebrate! We did a beer swap with the folks at this brewery. (Definitely bring some of your local beer when you travel!)

Stop: Little Rock, AR
I can't say Little Rock has ever been high on my list of places to visit, but I was pleasantly surprised! It turns out that Little Rock is home to the longest pedestrian bridge in North America, spanning 4,226 feet, also known as the Big Dam Bridge.

Stop: Memphis, TN
Let's play "two truths and a lie":
1. I LOVE coffee 2. I will go out of my way to find the best coffee shop around 3. I only drink decaf
I haven't spent a great amount of time in Memphis, so I wanted to make a quick visit to check it out along the way. Plus it was time for some coffee! We made a quick stop at City & State for some coffee and then spent way too much money at the attached local gift shop.
P.S. - I don't drink decaf unless I have to. There is GREAT decaf coffee, but I was born and raised on coffee (like, started drinking it at around 13 or so after dinner with my family) so I'll stick to what I know.

My mom and sister live in Birmingham and I haven't seen them since before the pandemic, so you know this was my first stop! We grabbed lunch at a brewery before heading on. A perfect first visit!
